A few weeks ago, the news broke that Rosario Dawson would portray the beloved animated Star Wars character Ahsoka Tano in live-action during the second season of The Mandalorian. Now, thanks to The Direct, new details regarding Dawson’s contract have come to light.
In a new report, The Direct reveals that Dawson’s contract to play the Jedi-no-more throughout numerous Disney+ series. Insider Daniel Richtman snagged the scoop, also adding that just because her contract allows the option for continuing the role in other shows, does not confirm Dawson’s involvement at this time.
The multi-project deal was utilized heavily in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, allowing for special appearances like Captain America in Thor: The Dark World and Falcon in Ant Man. By offering a similar deal to Dawson, this shows that Lucasfilm is prepared to invest heavily in the storytelling taking shape on their corner of Disney+. it is already known that at least two more shows are in varying stages of production with Cassian Andor, which just picked up a production designer, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
