With less than 100 days left until the release of the highly anticipated film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, we finally have the first full trailer!

Back in April, we received our first look at a few shots from the new film, planned to be released on December 16th, 2017. Fans wondered when we would finally receive a full trailer for the film. Well, now we have it.

The trailer opens with shots of Kylo Ren and the first order’s clear display of their strength. There seems to be a shot of Kylo Ren leading his army on some planet. Could this be the home of Emperor Snoke, or just another planet where the resistance resides?

It also shows an assault of new vehicles and machines on what might be a rebel base. The assault clearly mirrors the opening sequence in The Empire Strikes Back.

We get a few more shots of Rey and her training. It seems like Luke is immediately worried about his new apprentice’s strength in the force. We also get to see the opening of the film, considering it will begin the second after The Force Awakens ended.

Throughout the trailer we see shots of Kylo doubt which side he is really on, leading me to believe that we will see him deal with force identity issues.

We finally get to see Finn in what looks to be a first order uniform, and then we see him face-off against Captain Phasma. My theory is that he is infiltrating the first order, or, they brainwash him, and he eventually breaks out of it.

We finally get our first look at Snoke! He seems to be attacking Rey somehow.

The final shot of the trailer shows Rey asking Kylo Ren to help her find “her place in all of this.”

This was a solid trailer. It was not great, but it was without a doubt awesome. I’m excited for this film more than words can describe. I really hope this is the last trailer. In my personal opinion, The Force Awakens was branded too much, it’s nice to see light branding on this film. I was also happy to finally see some new footage from this film.
