DC’s newest entry hits both big and small screens on August 6, five years and one day after the original released in theaters. Love or hate it, Suicide Squad introduced us to some of the greatest DC characters. This includes Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, Will Smith’s Deadshot, and Viola Davis’s secretive and mysterious Amanda Waller.
One of the characters being introduced in James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is set to star in their own solo series, Peacemaker, played by John Cena. The series will come to HBO Max sometime next year. Hope still lives on, too, for more solo DC series, including the hopes of a Black Canary-centered show, which was first introduced in Birds of Prey early last year. Other shows, like Gotham PD and Green Lantern Corps are in development, while even more may be revealed later this year at DC FanDome 2021!
