If I could live in a film it would be the 2015 live-action Cinderella. Everything about it is so dreamy to me. Off the top of my head, I’d say it’s my favorite live-action that Disney has done. It brings everything I love about Cinderella to life and to top it off they cast one of my favorite actresses as Cinderella.

I think everyone knows the plot of this film so I’ll leave that out of this recommendation. This film is definitely in my top ten for costume design. Sandy Powell is truly a marvel when it comes to costuming. She also did the costumes for Mary Poppins Returns, The Favourite, and The Irishman. There were over 100,000 Swarovski crystals placed on Cinderella’s ballgown and in her hair! Each layer of her dress was made from a different color fabric and that’s what gave it an effortless watercolor effect.

I also think everything about the film is visually appealing. The colors are so vibrant in not only the clothing but also the scenery and set design. Like most of the movies I recommend to all of you, I can watch this one at any given time and it just makes me happy.
