Despite being slotted for a February 2023 premiere, it seems season 3 of The Mandalorian has come along quite nicely. This weekend in the annual Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, an event dedicated to, well, celebrate the Star Wars franchise. In recent years, Lucasfilm has begun to use the event as an opportunity to show off a handful of other projects while keeping a focus on the galaxy far, far away.
This year’s Celebration is already off to a great start. With teasers for the upcoming Willow series and for the Andor series, how could it get better after day 1? Well, leaked footage of the event gives fans of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian the chance to see what those at the convention have seen- the Season 3 trailer! Twitter user @harlilly_quinn tweeted out a recording they were able to grab during the screening of the trailer. Attached is their original tweet, but below is a cropped version of the trailer (just in case).
Today it was in fact confirmed that the hit bounty hunter series would return to Disney+ in February 2023, straight from Star Wars Celebration.
Although it is a rough recording, the trailer sheds quite a bit of light on where Din Djarin is headed now that he and Grogu are re-united following The Book of Boba Fett. And with Katie Sackoff reprising her role of Bo Katan, the season can get quite interesting as the two Mandalorians move forward with the Darksaber in play.
