In a new tweet accompanied by a statement made in two photos, Justice League actor Ray Fisher confirms his removal from The Flash starring Ezra Miller. The statement comes roughly one week after it was reported that Cyborg was removed from the script written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee). Fisher initially denied the report that his character was removed, though the removal does not indicate the character will be replaced by a new actor in future films. As stated by last weeks reports, the role will not be recast.

You can find Fisher’s statements below:

In his own statement a few days prior to the reveal that Walter Hamada, head of DC Films, had renewed his contract with WarnerMedia through 2023, Fisher stated he would not return to DC Films until Hamada was gone. It seems now that the feelings might be mutual. As Fisher states, Cyborg’s role in The Flash was supposedly significantly larger than previously reported.

Fisher will be appearing in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, the director cut of the botched 2017 theatrical release of Justice League as Victor Stone/Cyborg. His portrayal of the half-human half-machine character was revered by critics, with audiences dying to see more. A solo film featuring the character was slated for release and shifted numerous times before being removed entirely from DC Films’ release slate.
