After a long wait, and some shifting done in the background, Doom Patrol has been renewed for a third season on HBO Max. The series, following a set of misfits striving to become heroes in their own rights, found their second season airing simultaneously on DC Universe and HBO Max.

Starring Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Brendan Fraser, Matt Bomer, Jovian Wade, and Timothy Dalton, Doom Patrol first premiered in 2019 on DC’s exclusive streaming service. Now, with major shakeups in DC Entertainment, it seems that original productions intended for DC Universe are finding homes elsewhere. The widely-acclaimed Swamp Thing was dead on arrival to the streaming service, while the latest hit Stargirl has found a new home on The CW. With Harley Quinn‘s future still up in the air, it seems the only DC Universe show to remain would be Titans– for now.
