“Titans are back, b*tches!” That phrase kicked off an explosive second season of Titans that culminated with the long-awaited emergence of Nightwing as their leader and the tragic death of one of their own. And as a new mysterious threat looms, season three promises to be the biggest yet! Join executive producer Greg Walker and series stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan Potter, Conor Leslie, Curran Walters, Joshua Orpin, Damaris Lewis, with Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly for a preview of the new season.

Starting off with the Titans FanDome panel, showrunner Greg Walker talks about the idea behind the series.

Walker: The idea was to take the, you know, Perez-Wolfman comics and really.. We live in a world where there has been 25-30 years of superhero movies since then. The world has changed. We wanted to put this in a really psycholigcally and emotionally grounded universe.

Greg Walker continues to talk about his experience with Marv Wolfman. According to Walker, Wolfman has been in the writers’ room. He sometimes comes around and hangs out with the cast and crew. They talk about the books and the show. Apparently, Wolfman has seen every episode of the series!

After the crew has talked about their favorite scenes of the series, the topic changes to Blackfire. It is confirmed that Damaris Lewis is coming full force to face the Titans. She won’t be a hologram or taking over bodies, it will actually be her. This is what Damaris Lewis had to say about her character:

Lewis: It’s funny you say that because the villain, you know… I think the villain is generally always my favorite character in a lot of movies because there’s a reason why, that they’re a villain. And I’m excited to see, especially what gets cooked up, uh, for our duality, I would say, especially like with Kory being of the same, I guess blood, or whatever we have on our planet. But with different abilities. So I think it’s going to be really interesting, seeing what happens. I think the good sister, bad sister relationship will have a microscope put on it, and it will start to reveal complexity that we didn’t know about.

When asked about Hawk and Dove’s relationship in season 2 by host Damian Holbrook from TVInsider, this is what showrunner Greg Walker had to say:

Walker: There’s been a change in the relationship between Hank and Dawn. They are now trying to be consciously uncoupled. How are they going to function as exes in this new world? They asked themselves a question at the end of Season 2. What if we give it another shot? I think Hank and Dawn are over. What about Hawk and Dove? We answered that question, uh, early on.

Next up, Donna Troy. Conor Leslie has been present at the panel, which has raised some questions between the other members present at the panel.

Walker: Oh. I mean, a lot of times when someone’s being killed on the show, they don’t come back for the panel. It’s true but there are ways that we can kind of skirt the normal life and death rules, uh, you know, for those of us who are kinda more, you know, human-bound. So, we’ve got some exciting opportunities and stories ahead for Donna Troy and for Rachel and perhaps the whole underworld, we may, like, go into and see what it’s like as a transition stage.

Host: DC Comics loves the Lazarus Pit.

Croft: [chuckles] Yeah, they really do. They really do.

Walker: I have no comment about that.

Host: Okay, well, then I wanna ask, is the way Donna died going to affect how she might live?

Walker: Absolutely.

Conor: I-

Host: Okay, all right. I thought it was a very specific choice to kill her off that way.

Walker: Conor, what were you gonna say?

Leslie: Nothing.

Greg Walker continues to talk about a new villain that will be introduced in season 3, Red Hood.

Walker: This season, we’re gonna bring up a new villain. It’s a villain, you know, if you watched the show, you know that Jason Todd’s had a rough run and he had a falling out with the Titans. And it didn’t end well. And even the Titans, as they reunited as a team, were absent one member at the end. Who rode away on a motorcycle. And had a fallout. And, you know, there’s that African proverb, if, um… something along the lines… You know, the child who is… not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth. And, um, that child comes back in the form of Red Hood.</i>

Host: All right, Curran, how do you feel about that?

Walters: Yeah, I’m very excited obviously… and I feel some pressure, but I’m ready to take it on. A hundred percent, so… I’m very excited, I’ve been wanting this for a while now, so…
