DC Fandome: ‘The Flash’ Season 7 Panel (Extended) Recap

While we did get part of this panel as apart of the first DC Fandome, as apart of the second DC Fandome event we got to learn a lot more info about the season as they have released the entirety of the panel.

Iris And Team Citizen:

Candice Patton Iris when she returns will suffer from effects from being in the Mirrorverse (kinda obvious). With Iris’ absence before her return we will explore Team Citizen as they go on without their boss. Iris and Team Citizen will investigate a specific thing that Eric Wallace can’t talk about.

Allegra and Chester:

Both new series regulars Kayla Compton(Allegra Garcia) and Brandon McKnight (Chester P. Runk) were fans of the series before joining it in season 6. Regarding Chester,the cast fell in love with Brandon as Chester after watching his monologue in the first episode. Eric Wallace believes Chester’s real power is his optimism. Finally with Allegra more of her relationship with Nash will be explored in the season.

Godspeed:

After two seasons of having minor appearances Godspeed has been confirmed to be a major antagonist for season 7. As Eric Wallace said at the panel he wanted modern readers of The Flash comics to see one of those villains brought to the series. The real Godspeed may or may not have a connection to Barry? Eric Wallace also said it may be a guy or potentially a girl.

Other Tidbits:

• Eric Wallace and the whole cast is proud of the new graphic novel format for the series. They like how it’s easier to section out the 22 episodes for the season.
• Grant Gustin loved Barry’s dark turn in the final two episodes of the first half of the season.
• Danielle Nicolet wants to see her character Cecille “go bad” as she thinks it would be fun to play a villain. Eric Wallace says “You never know.”
• Carlos believes Cisco doesn’t regret his decision to remove his powers.
• The sizzle reel is placed together in a certain order which contain massive spoilers for the season.
• Killer Frost may go on a date soon.
• The idea behind the “Kiss Kiss Breach Breach” Noir episode came from the idea that they wanted to show how Vibe’s powers could be portrayed differently.
• Carlos in his head believes that Cisco interacted with Aquaman while in Atlantis.
• Cecille’s powers will go from being more passive to active while getting into trouble along the way
• Nash with all the Wells in his head will have drastic and unexpected consequences
• Barry feels the need for his powers and has an existential crisis on who he is without them.
• If it was up to Grant the gold boots would have been in the show 2 season ago and Eric Wallace says the gold boots will happen eventually but a certain story will be made around it.

 

‘The Flash’ will return January 2021 on Tuesdays at 8pm EST.
