The Kevin Hart-led action-comedy feature film titled The Man From Toronto will find Woody Harrelson replacing action-flick legend Jason Statham in a lead role. Statham had yet to fully sign on to the project, but backed out of negotiations roughly one ago following a small fallout between studio executives at Sony and Statham regarding the rating of the film.
With production set to begin in only a few weeks, the studio quickly found Harrelson, who is coming off production of the studio’s upcoming Venom sequel. He will join comedian Kevin Hart and will be directed by Patrick Hughes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard) on a script from Robbie Fox and Jason Blumenthal. The film is slated for a November 20th, 2020 release.
