Taika Waititi has put out some successful projects over the years. From Thor: Ragnarok to Jojo Rabbit and more, he’s released memorable works for fans to see. His 2014 film What We Do in the Shadows has gained praise as a cult favorite and has even spawned a television series under the same title on FX. Its first season had run for 10 episodes last spring, and this April will show us a second season that will run for another 10 episodes.
At the Television Critics Association press tour earlier today, series creator Jermaine Clement revealed that legendary actor Mark Hamill will have a guest role in the upcoming season. Although, he did not say who Hamill will play. Hamill recently had a role in last month’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Clement also added that Waititi will not return to direct any episodes of the season and that the show tries not to integrate elements from the film. The hit show centers on the nighttime lives of three vampires residing on Staten Island, New York for over a century.
What We Do in the Shadows returns to grace our television screens on April 15th, 2020.
