The cast of Daredevil: Born Again is expanding. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jon Bernthal is reprising his role as The Punisher in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+. Bernthal previously portrayed the character in Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 and later the Punisher series.
Jon Bernthal is joining returning cast members Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Daredevil and Kingpin, respectively. Previously, both Cox and D’Onofrio appeared in the MCU after their Netflix series was canceled after three seasons. In the more recent two years, Cox’s Daredevil appeared in both Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk while D’Onofrio showed up in Hawkeye. Both actors are expected to appear in the upcoming Echo show on Disney+ before headlining Daredevil: Born Again with Bernthal.
However, it seems like Bernthal may be the only other major player returning. Unfortunately, according to The Hollywood Reporter‘s same report, Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll are not returning as their characters in Daredevil: Born Again. Henson and Woll portrayed Foggy Nelson and Karen Page respectively. Both characters were integral to the last Daredevil series. At this time, it is unclear why such major characters are not included in the show.
