After nearly 2 years of thinking that Henry Cavill has left behind his Man of Steel role, a new report from Deadline claims that Cavill will, in fact, return to the role. But rather than just a single appearance, a report from ComicBook suggests that Cavill will be returning for numerous appearances throughout multiple DC films.
Before your hopes are raised too much, the deal is structured much like how Marvel Studios uses The Hulk- Cavill will make appearances/co-star as a supporting character alongside other DC heroes in their own adventures. This means that there are yet to be any plans for future Man of Steel sequels. Though, this deal does not completely close the door on the possibility.
