After his breakout performance in 2016’s Deadpool, Ajax/Francis actor Ed Skrein has landed himself yet another comic book movie role. This time around, Skrein will be portraying Major Ben Daimio from the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Daimio, after a supernatural encounter, has the ability to transform into a jaguar whenever his temper or pain level rises.
Skrein will be joining David Harbour as the titular character, Hellboy, Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen (the film’s main villain), Ian McShane, and Sasha Lane. As of yet, there are no specific plot details, however the movie will be aiming for a R-rating. Directed by Neil Marshall, the Hellboy reboot is set to release sometime next year.
