After opening to much success, Spider-Man: Homecoming has racked up $467.3 million worldwide since its release a little less than 2 weeks ago. Director Jon Watts, who has previously stated he would like to come back for the sequel, is currently in talks with Sony and Marvel to return to the franchise for its second blockbuster. That next movie, whatever it may be titled, is slated to be released on July 5, 2019. Tom Holland will reprise his role as the titular character for the sequel.
